We are pleased to announce that Peppers have added the “LT-C” gland series to its extensive product range. The “LT-C” gland design incorporates a connection for liquid tight flexible metallic conduit and features the Peppers T-1000 sealing compound, that offers an operating temperature of -60°C to +135°C and allows conductors to be terminated after 1 hour and equipment energised after 4 hours, therefore providing a quick and easy installation.
The “LT-C” gland is available in brass with a nickel plated entry thread, 316 stainless steel or brass fully nickel plated. Peppers “LT-C” gland series holds ATEX, IECEx, CCoE and LLOYD’S approvals and are certified Flameproof Ex db, Increased Safety Ex e and Dust Protected Ex ta. They are suitable for use in Zone 1 and 2 for Gas Groups IIA, IIB and IIC and additionally for use in Zones 20, 21 and 22 for Dusts Groups IIIA, IIIB and IIIC therefore making them ideal for use in l M2 ll 1D 2G & llC Gb applications.
“LT-C” glands can be used to provide a compound barrier Ex db & IP seal on the cables outer sheath or the cables individual inner cores, therefore eliminating damage to cables that exhibit “cold flow” characteristics. The gland maintains IP66, IP67 & IP68 to 100 metres (10bar) for 7 Days.
As with all of Peppers compound filled barrier glands, each “LT-C” gland is supplied with the required amount of Peppers T-1000 compound and can also be supplied with installation accessories such as locknuts, IP Sealing Washers, Serrated Washers, Earth Tags, Thread Convertors (‘AR’ Series of Adaptor / Reducer) or our ‘ARMR’ Series of 90° adaptors, ‘AEMF’ Series of 45° Adaptors, ‘ATMF’ Series of 30° Adaptors for the more demanding installation.
