Ethics & Anti-Bribery Policy

Declaration
This Policy outlines Peppers Cable Glands Ltd.’s commitment to ethical business conduct and compliance with the UK Bribery Act 2010.

Our Ethical Commitment
Peppers Cable Glands Ltd believes that acting responsibly and ethically is fundamental to how we do business. We aim to be a trusted business partner, employer, customer, and supplier — and to lead by example, particularly in markets where ethical standards are still developing.
We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. Bribery is defined, in line with the Bribery Act 2010, as:

“The offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any gift, reward, fee, or other advantage as an inducement to act improperly in the course of business.”

This applies to all employees, agents, contractors, and third parties acting on behalf of the company.

Policy Commitments
We are committed to:

  • Conducting all business operations ethically, honestly, and transparently.
  • Complying fully with the Bribery Act 2010 and all applicable anti-corruption laws.
  • Proactively managing bribery and corruption risks through training, policy enforcement, and continuous improvement.

Implementation & Training

To ensure these commitments are understood and upheld:

  • Our Ethics & Anti-Bribery Policy is reviewed regularly to reflect changes in legislation, business practices, and risk exposure.
  • The policy is distributed to all employees and made available to relevant external partners.
  • All staff are made aware of their responsibilities through induction programmes, values communications, and employee handbooks.
  • Tailored anti-bribery and ethics training is provided to managers and supervisors, including materials available in various languages and formats.

Prohibited Conduct
To ensure these commitments are understood and upheld:

  • Making unofficial payments to public officials to secure permits, licences, or customs clearance.
  • Appointing third parties or suppliers known or suspected to have engaged in corrupt conduct.
  • Paying agents or intermediaries (“fixers”) to facilitate introductions or favours through improper influence.
  • Offering or accepting gifts, hospitality, or other benefits that could improperly influence a business decision.

Breach & Consequences
Any breach of this policy whether by an employee or someone acting on behalf of Peppers Cable Glands Ltd may result in disciplinary action, dismissal, or termination of contract.
Involvement in bribery may expose the business to prosecution, significant fines, reputational damage, and loss of business opportunities.
If you become aware of any activity that may breach this policy, you are encouraged to report it to Peppers Cable Glands Ltd through our established reporting mechanisms or contact channels. Reports will be handled confidentially and in line with our whistleblowing procedures.
