Modern Slavery Statement

Declaration
This Statement is made in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps Peppers Cable Glands Ltd has taken during the financial year 2025 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.

Our Commitment
Peppers Cable Glands Ltd maintains a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in all its forms, including slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking.

We are committed to operating ethically, with integrity and transparency, and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking do not occur in our own operations or within our supply chain.

Our Business & Supply Chain
Peppers Cable Glands Ltd is a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of cable glands and enclosure accessories, serving industries including oil & gas, petrochemical, and OEM sectors. Our supply chain includes raw materials, components, and services sourced both within the UK and internationally. We recognise that certain jurisdictions and sectors carry a higher risk of exploitative practices, and we actively monitor these areas.

Policies & Governance
We have in place the following policies and procedures to prevent modern slavery:

  • Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy – sets out our expectations for employees, suppliers, and business partners.
  • Supplier Code of Conduct – includes clauses prohibiting modern slavery and expectations around labour standards.
  • Whistleblowing Policy – provides a confidential channel to report concerns or suspected violations, including unethical labour practices.

Due Diligence on Supplier
We maintain a preferred supplier list and conduct due diligence before onboarding new suppliers. This includes:

  • Requiring a modern slavery declaration
  • Checking for previous convictions related to slavery or trafficking
  • Inclusion of anti-slavery clauses in supplier contracts

We reserve the right to terminate relationships with suppliers who breach these obligations.

Risk Management
We assess the risk of modern slavery as part of our procurement processes and review risk indicators such as:

  • Country of origin
  • Type of labour used
  • Previous compliance history

Where higher risks are identified, we may request further evidence or conduct audits.

Training & Awareness
We provide training to relevant employees to raise awareness of modern slavery risks and help them identify signs of exploitation, particularly within purchasing and supplier management roles.

Review & Monitoring
This statement has been approved by the senior leadership of Peppers Cable Glands Ltd and will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure it remains accurate and reflective of our practices.
